Multi-axis machining, also known as multi-coordinate linkage machining, is an advanced machining technology that allows machining equipment to achieve complex machining operations through the linkage of multiple axes. This technology is mainly used in CNC machining centers, and it achieves precise machining of workpieces by controlling the simultaneous movement of multiple coordinate axes. The biggest feature of multi-axis machining is that it adds the machining of rotary axes on the basis of the original three-axis machining, so that more complex shapes can be machined and the machining quality and efficiency can be improved.
The technical features of multi-axis machining include:
Increased machining of rotary axes: On the basis of three-axis machining, by adding rotary axes (such as A, B, and C axes), the tool can contact the workpiece at different angles, thereby machining more complex shapes.
Improve machining quality and efficiency: Through multi-axis linkage, complex-shaped workpieces can be cut more effectively, the collision between the tool and the workpiece can be reduced, and the machining accuracy and surface quality can be improved.
